    According to this doc;

    http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_243.pdf

J403 is the compressor relay (although doesn't say where it is but assume under dash), not sure why you're getting the code you're seeing, surely this would just cause the compressor to stop working.

I'll see if I can dig out schematic later on and take a look. Looks like there may be more fuses than thought.

I am having issues seeing the diagram with my software, apprecitate any ideas (installed adobe SVG view but still no diagrams!!?)

but anyway for suspension the following fuses are mentioned: fuse S7 (fuse in fuse box) & Fuse S110 self leveling suspension fuse (location unconfirmed) Fuse S5 (in fuse box), this is all the info i have for now, again cannot confirm the relay J403 location either.

check the 2 fuses inthe fuse box,

    Andy

Just taken the lower dash apart found the 40 amp orange fuse and the 373 relay (on the 8 point relay carrier tucked up behind the normal relays. Swapped them over seem to be fine. I have now thought is the compressor getting power ? I have checked the multiple plugs and all seem fine. Can I check the pump works by bypassing the connectors?

I think you need another fault code done, is the internal memory fault still there? how did the company "check" the control module?

in VCDS you can also check the operation of each item, as before you did the voltage checks in group 1 you can go to group 2,3,4,5 & 6

    group 1 shows voltage 1, & 2 also terminal 50 voltage,

Group 2 shows door switch and voltage 3 (what is this voltage?)

group 3 shows the up button status to see if it works & pump relay operation

group 6 shows temp of pump and pump on or off status

go through these blocks checking the operation of each feature to see if you can narrow down any errors

post up screen shots of all groups

What happens when you clear the fault, then read the codes again, does it come back imediately? I think this is still the problem, or part of it,

I'm sure the pump will work but If working I would expect the relay to click open but from your description it is not even doing that. Are you sure the relay J403 has 12V running to it? (it will be the big 40AMP fuse that goes to the relay J403) Whats the 367 relay you checked??

The internal memory error doesn't shed much light either other than a wiring issue, voltage issue or dud module.

Other areas, check the Big multiplug under the car at the valve block, it goes to the J197 Module in the boot, check the connection and wiring there,

The photos are not very clear, If doing it again if you can press Alt & PrtScn buttons on the keyboward at the same time then paste into paint or word this takes a screen grab of the active window.

Either the J403 relay has no power or the J197 module fault is stopping it, or the wiring/power between this module is stopping the operation of the relay, check these areas.

looks like it is sagging on rear corner 1, Is the car in use? Is the battery fully charged when you are testing/trying these codes?

    Hi guys,
Any chance of a wiring diagram My 2001 Audi allroad suspension has ceased to operate. Switched on dash all dead. Chacked fuses all appear ok. Fault code says cannot communicate with module.
    Thanks
