This module sits in the boot on the LH side behind the trim in next to the Air storage tank, cannot remember if it is visible via the tools access flap or in behind it. perhaps check it is dry and no obvious damage to cables ect

If we step back a bit, you had a thread different to this one, where you mentioned climate control issues & suspension error lights on and you said a new fuse fixed it??, what fuse did you remove, replace? There should be 2 fuses go to the control box, you should check them both, unfortunetely I don't have my manual working right now to check there locations for you

clear the faults for everything, even you climate contol module 8 says excessive comm errors, i dont think they are related but a good start to clear all faults and start picking them off again, Does the VCDS 3.11 version you have clear codes?? i have no experience using this version

also to check you mention the error light in this thread (1st post) are we talking the small orange car in the rev counter with a up and down arrow?

try disconnecting the battery, worth a shot, make sure you have your radio codes 1st!!

Find the control box in the LH of the boot space and check it is not wet, The rear window washer runs along in this area and if it has came loose it will soak anything around it,when you find it check it is dry, check the large connection and check cabeling for damage and its condition.

it could be the module itself or poor bad connections, bad earth or voltage issue

    regards

    Andy

The Level Control error code suggests that the Level Control ECU is communicating but has failed internal memory checks.

Looks like battery reset and fault code clearing has not changed anything. If a fuse we're at fault there would be no response from the controller.

Not sure where or how, but may need to source new/used controller. I seem to remember they do fail occasionally.

    I did just come across this link on the Rosstech webpage;

    http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/65535

It does seem to suggest a wet or damaged controller, seems strange, how can you have memory error if its not communicating!!!

I think it is communicating but has a memory failure error, or not booting up properly, still check the voltages, There should be 2 fuses to the controller one through term 15 and one through term 30, I agree if no power then it will be dead but If one of them is away it could cause issues, also be worth checking the cabeling & voltage at the pins to the controller

you can also run through the measuring blocks in VCDS to see what voltage is present at the level module 34 there are 2 voltage blocks, in level control 34, measuring block 1, I do not have the fuse location info right now but worth a check.

Got the box out part number 4z7 907 553 E called Audi and they quoted price of a small village in Wiltshire.
Box is dry cables look ok will check the voltages.
Could still be a fuse I hope so.

Could anyone be able to check my ECU for me ?

I did a quick search and one had come up on ebay 73 quid. I know its too late but gives hope and still worth searching.

It seems the revision has changed, so you should be able to fit anything E upwards.

Do a search for the part number missing the revision. ie 4Z7 907 553, make sure you search Europe too.

Try a few breakers if you can, there are a number of specialist VAG breakers. I'm sure if you search enough and persevere you will find a used one.

Just checked the voltage in Vag com to unit 34 group 1 it reads 11.12v at voltage 1 and 11.72v at voltage 2 so it must be the controller
