    Hi Crasher,

Thanks for info ... so when you mean remove intake you do mean both sections upper & lower?

I've added photos of bolts item 3... am I using the wrong tools as I really can't get at the bolts with standard spline bit/universal joint/extension bar
    ...

Even the lower bolt I've tried various angles going at it from the side and even using an extension+UJ and coming at it from the front from under the connecting pipe and just can't get at it
... what tools would you use & how?

But look at this (metal pipe)...

So one bolt on manifold then another accessible after removing bank 2 swirl motor...

Now here is a video showing start/finish of the cylinder head coolant bleeder system...

This coolant bleeder pipe is doing my ...

I'm guessing gonna need magnetic tools for the banjo bolt in the depths of the engine, if I clamp the expansion tank will coolant leak at the cylinder bleeding points?

Any suggestions and guidance Crasher please... ...

    Hi ya Crasher ...

    Cheers for info ...

I'm buying the seals between the lower manifolds and cylinder heads and gonna use them as a template to create covers for the inlet ports...

This way I can manually decoke the top and lower manifolds and remove the whole EGR system and clean EGR cooler/flap unit/connecting pipes and not worry about anything dropping into engine ... will replace all associated seals for manifolds/EGR system as well...

I'll also have easier access to do glow plug cyl. no 5 which is left from my glow plug swapping exercise ...

Maybe after this my car will be sound and can pop by and see you and then our northern friend A8 Tech ...

I suggest you start a new thread, it may confuse starting to talk about a 4 cylinder A4 in the middle of a V6 A8 thread.
