    A friend with an Audi can operate the windows with the keyfob, can I with a 2004 Passat Sport td1?...Keyfob looks the same!
    Is it a dealer update to the keyfob?

    I think you can have it changed to do this on the passat via a VAG COM.

    If you cant you can buy a KVW100 from: http://www.vagproducts.co.uk/pages/p...rt/kvw1003.php

    Cant be done on the passat im affraid. Already tried it myself. There is no option for this on vagcom. Matty

    Should work with a Bora just fine.

    VDS-Pro software can be used to enable VW windows up/down on the remote. (vagcom wont do it as it has eprom 'write' functions disabled)

    Checked that out!

    Shame I don't have a lappy with a com port - would a USB to serial converter do?

    And... do you have any recommendations as to the interface lead needed for the OBD2 port?
