I'm hoping someone can please help with this problem!!

Three lights, the suspension, stability control and ABS warning lights all came on the other day.

VCDS showed up "G201 Brake Pressure Sensor - Intermittant", I know this is part of the ESP pump and cannot be bought seperately (and is £500 ish).

However, I wiggled the wiring etc, and reset all codes (in ABS, Engine and Level Control ECUs) and lamps have gone out. I checked the measuring blocks, brake pressure seemed to increase with pedal pressure. The brake switch bits toggled ok.

But.... I'm guessing its not going to be long before it happens again.

Any ideas? Does this have anything to do with the brake pedal switch, or is the G201 sensor failing?

Hi, did you ever get to the bottom of this?

I'm having a similar issue that continues even after replacing the pump with a refurbished one.

I never did find out, the car was written off when someone slammed into the back of it, still miss that car!

I’m convinced it is something to do with the brake pedal switch, ie. pressure is detected by G201 but the switch says pedal is not pressed or vice versa if u see what I mean! I think there are two circuits to the switch, so doesn’t mean ur brake lights aren’t working. It’s worth a check. Also worth checking with user “crasher”

I have ordered a new switch, £20 and simple to swap so may as well tick that one off the list.

    Thanks for the reply.

The G201 is the brake system pressure switch, the pedal switch is a combined F and F62.
