I posted previously about having the DMF replaced at 28K on my 2006, 1.9 TDI and got some very helpful advice.
The car doesn’t get heavy usage and since then, I’ve only clocked up just over 15K miles and am starting to experience all the same symptoms again!
Before getting onto my local dealer, I was wondering has anyone else experienced multiple DMF failures at such low mileage and is there anything else obvious that would cause lumpy tick over at idle, rough start etc.
Worst case scenario, if I am looking at another DMF replacement do you think there is any chance VW would cover some/all of the cost?
I never thought I’d be contemplating replacing the flywheel in any car more regularly than it needs a service!

"lumpy tick over at idle, rough start etc."

Doesn't sound like a dmf fault. A DMF fault will usually be felt through the clutch and heard as a clatter.
