My car was in at the Body Shop last week and they said the battery had went flat whilst it was in their care.
Since getting the car back, neither of my key fobs will open 'all the doors' with 2 presses of the unlock button. Only the drivers door unlocks with the fob.
It's strange because all the doors unlock manually with two turns of the key in the door lock and also with the button inside the drivers door next to the electric window buttons.
The owners manual gives a reset procedure, but only for when the fobs don't open any doors. I have tried this to no avail.
Please can anyone shed any light on this as it is rather annoying.
I'm inclined to think it is something to do with the battery going flat, although I have had the battery go flat when I've left the car for a few weeks, then charged it up, without any problem.

It is a common problem. t usually clears after 2 weeks oor so, or you can just disconnect and reconnect the battery. The CCM gets scrambled at low voltage and needs a 'cold reboot' equivalent.

If it doesn't reset you will have to get it recoded. Sometimes a code changes as a result of a flat battery or more likely a power surge. Anyone with vag-com/VCDS can do it.

I'dbeen having this driver's door only issue for a few months and it was a pain having to use the internal unlock button to get the other doors open.
I'm pleased to report that disconnecting the battery for a short while did the trick.
    Excellent advice - Thank you!
