Just purchased some Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres after much deliberation. Pirelli will be off soon (thank god). I purchased them on line so they are currently sat in garage waiting to be fitted. I have noticed they are a bit wider than the pirelli's with a lip over the edge, presumbaly to protect the rims (255 35 19).

Has anyone fitted the michelin PS3 to their 19ins rims and if so how are they fairing?

I also went for PS3s after much deliberation. They've done a good job protecting the rims (albeit only 18s in my case). Very happy with wet and dry grip - noticeably better than the Bridgestone RE050As it came with. Only downside is that they're probably only going to last about 15k which is a bit poor considering that most of my mileage has been clocked up doing seventy-something on the motorway.

I purchased 4 for my 19's also 255/35. They have been on the car for 3k and haven't wore from what I can see. They have reduced road noise significantly and hold well in the wet and on slippery surfaces. The wife drives the car 14 miles each day, 11 of which is on dual carriageway and the remaining 3 miles around the town.

I got them for £1000 fully fitted from Kwik Fit 2 months ago.

Got two 18's on the front of mine. Very pleased so far. Quieter than the PS2's which have been moved to the back.

Had a couple of mini emergency stops with no dramas. Can't say if they're better or worse than the PS2's in the wet, the real test is when the snow returns!!
