I have a 2000my A4 1.8T quattro with the 17" 10 spoke ronals, they currently have a mishmash of budget tyres that are all getting a bit low on tread so my intend replacing all at once. Does anyone have any recommendations for tyres that would suit this car and aren't too expensive? Does anyone know what the oe was?

stay away from hankook, they lasted me 18 months all 4 new.
my 1st set (2 rear) lasted me almost 3 years!!! believe it or not, as the quattro never wheel spun, these were 'Velocity' brand approx £65-70 each at the time, 245/45/17.

last but not least, continental (2 front) lasted 2 years on the front, but @ £120 each was expensive at the time, but what the hell..

most important.. make sure you get a full balance, make sure you see the readings, and get a 4 wheel laser alingment.. if you are going to spend 80-100 per corner, this should not be over looked, this will help your new tryes keep as new for as long as is possible..
