Noticed a huge amount of water in the spare wheel bay today. Dried it up but water kept coming back. This was around the battery area underneath the carpet cover. Like it's coming from underneath.

    Any ideas??

Was it clean water ? Did it smell of anything?

I'd have initially assummed a leaking rear washer pipe.

Strange ! If it came in from outside there must be a source hole.... unless is was washed with the boot not closed properly.

It was clear. I think it could have been when washed. I think the water is gathered under the metal tray so when the car moves it spreads.

I thought it was rear washer but the saloon doesn't have a rear wiper

I believe there was an issue with the seals on the rear lights of the early B8's, the water could be coming in there. I think there was a workshop action about fixing it.
