Hi I have searched through threads but not really found a definitive answer.
It sounds like I can use a bypass relay on the car to fool the canbus but some threads are saying this could be dangerous causing fire or blowing the ECU. Is this a high or low risk option?
What other funtions will I lose using the relay?

    Thanks

A bypass relay is fine and easy to fit. How can it possibly do any harm. It uses an extra power supply that uses the signal from your existing wires to trigger your new electrics. The power drawn from the existing wires is so low, the car doesn't notice it.

I did search hard as my post states I have found I can use the bypass relay.

My question was some threads state there is a risk. I have found nothing definitive to contradict this........ So
    1. Is there any risk?
    2. Will I lose any dashboard information.
