    Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone knows of an Audi Dealer in the West Midlands that are able to remove component protection fault? I am just about to install a new instrument cluster but have learnt that the component protection will kick in and it seems the only way to do this is to get a dealer to do it.

So, I contacted Birmingham Audi (Lister Group) and there response was:

"that is not something we can do"

I tried Wolverhampton Audi but didn’t get an answer from them - I decided against taking the query further as they had previously informed me that I was unable to buy the Audi MMI update disks (5570) from them (or anyone) as "they were not for public sale and not available to the public in any shape or form"....which I knew was absolute rubbish!

I have contacted Tamworth Audi but are still awaiting a response….

So, has anyone been able to get ANY Audi dealer to remove component protection - surely must have been done by retrofitters installing new gear?
    Anyone?

Have you tried Ben @ Shark Performance (Sponsor on the forum) He's based in Mansfield so not too far if he can do the job.
