creaking when warm??!!

I've just bought a 2003 Golf Estate 1.9TDI SE (130 bhp) with 39k on the clock. When driving home from the garage after about 30 mins of driving I came to my road which has speed bumps. When driving over them I heard a creaking sound towards the front of the car, quite a loud noise, heard when the windows were up (and louder with them down). Anyway, after leaving the car outside my house and then driving off a little later the noise had dissapeared when going over the bumps. Its seems to be happening after driving for a while.......totally confused and slightly worried

Hey mate, it sounds like it could be your anti roll bar bushes or it could be your wishbone bushes, not something to worry about, but worth get done. It could fail an MOT when one is due if there is play in them.

Thanks v6dub, it's just had an MOT prior to the sale so I'm guessing if it was somehting major they would have picked it up!? Lets hope so!

Yup sound like ARB bushes have gone. Not a mojor problem, but the knocking will get worse.

Mine started as a slight squeek into continious knocking on a flat road, New ARB bushes and Bar and all is good.
