central locking issue

Hey folks
Happy to have found this forum on the www.
I have a SEAT Cordoba Vario 20001.9 sdi model=Polo Estate.
The remote control central locking aint working anymore.I know the batteries were starting to go on the fob as I was having to stand closer each time to lock /unlock.Now the fob doesnt do anything.Just flashes red on the unit.I replaced the batteries with the proper Panasonic CR2016s.The central locking buttons inside the car work fine etc but the fob just flashes
Would anyone know how to recode this again?

Ignition on, turn ignition off, remove key, hold in unlock button and at the same time press lock three times, remove all pressed buttons, your blip key will flash 3 times and your doors will lock.

This is the older system but hopefully it works as it does on my 99 Vario. I love her lol

Is yours the diesel version? If so im having bother trying to get an oil filter from halfords in ballymena.They cant find the car on thier database.
Should I be asking for a VW Polo estate circa 1999 1.9 sdi

Thats your first mistake, goto your local motor factors and save yourself time and money. Yes, mine is TDI. The Polo is the same engine. Happys days that she worked out for the remote
