annoying rattle

Hi all.
A4 130 TDI.
Has anyone experienced an annoying distracting rattle especially at town speeds and over uneven surfaces? i't sounds as though it's coming from the boot. I've removed the jack /toolkit etc but to no avail and it's begining to drive me to distraction
If there are any ideas out there i'd be most grateful.

exhaust,spring,anti roll bar, shocks the list is long,get the wheel off and have a look.

check your anti roll bar underneith the boot. check to see if the plastic collars are split and broken where the bushes are. mine where and where causing low speed knocking.

hey peeps, iv got some rattling noise coming from underneath the car, i can hear it on bumpy road n when i go over humps...any idea what that can b? im guessin its the exhaust but dont know for sure....also is that rattling noise a common problem wid a4 b6's??

My a4 b6 avant has same rattle / knocking it's been thro 2 mot's and nothing was found amiss. It drives me mad as well.

I have finally solved it. Snapped rear near side coil spring "oops".

Check your springs!! mine snapped at the base, you can't tell until you remove and inspect.
