    Hi Brian

I've emailed the supplier and this is the response I got

    Hi
    Thanks for your mail.

    Here is the fitment.
    Fitment :
    2010-2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen
    2010-2012 VW Golf MK6 TDI / TSI
Only for Standard Golf Bumpers, Do not fit GDI / GTI

We are sorry that it doesnt fit your car.
Although you have a standard bumper and grill, we cant sure that it will fit your car.
If you really want to purchase, but we are sorry that we cant make any guarantee and we cant refund you, once you find it doesnt fit your car.

Feel free to contact us for any questions.
    Have a nice day.
    Best regards,

    thejumbodepot

I'm confused now, shall I go ahead and get these or shall I go for a different option.
My Philips day light 8 got delivered today, going to be fitting them tomorrow on my Caddy Van.
1st impression of the build quality look good.
anyway back to the MK6, and idea what I should do?

Sorry I cant help you with that decision
Best thing is check yours against a mk 6 golf in a car park
remember its the size and curve of the grill that determines the fit as the fog lamps come complete fitted into the grill

Is it possible the seller isn't certain about fitment because he lists as 2010-2012 and your 2009 could be mk5 or 6?

Standard front Mk6's will all be the same.

Also Brian seems to be confusing the ones in your link with others. Those in the link appear to fit onto the body as per standard fit and not in the grille as some do.

    Thanks guys

I'm still well confused, do I buy them or not???
Does anyone know if the bumper was changed from the 2009 mk6 to the 2010 mk6?
Any idea how I can be certain, as these guys from abroad (ebay seller) don't seem much help.
fog light in question: VW 2010 GOLF MK6 FOG BUMPER LAMP FRAME GRILLE PAIR NEW | eBay

After 4 hours of hard graft I've completed the the Philips led day light 8 on the VW Caddy van
I don't think I can go through that again hence my search for plug and play in the bumper grill for my 2009 mk6.
    Your help is appreciated guys.

    Hi there.

This is my first post ...

I have been reading on this thread regarding fitting fog lights on a mark 6 Golf. I have already purchased the fog lights and switch from ebay.

After giving my car to my mechanic to fit the fog lights, he had noticed i need a front wiring loom to fit the lights.

Could anyone suggest where i can get these from ?

    Thanks
    Raj

An original loom is useful but not necessarily the end of your problem. Unless you have the correct BCM fitted to your car you won't be able get them to work without using a conventional 4 pin relay and some additional wiring.
You can still use the output from pin 5 of the new light switch to trigger the relay so it looks standard in the way it operates.

I found information on BCM part numbers and functions here....
Fog Lights Problem - Page 2 - Electronics - myTiguan Forum

I also delved into the minefield of info on the net and found a BCM on ebay that would support front fogs but then I or the seller couldn't be sure that all the other options on my car were supported by the BCM I was considering buying so I elected to use my own relay instead. The cost of replacing the BCM just to have it all plug and play is considerable as well.
The only other thing is you won't be able to have the cornering function without changing the BCM but that's of no interest to me as I find it a rather stupid feature.

A VCDS scan of address 09 will show which module you have fitted. My 2011 Match has the following

    Part No SW: 1K0 937 084 F HW: 1K0 937 084 F
    Component: BCM PQ35 B 110 0651
    Revision: 00110 AC

which doesn't support front foglight operation. I suspect an SE would have similar but still worth checking, you might be lucky.
