    hello all i am having a problem with the above cars electrics,when cars running or just sittng with ignition on and i put side lights or dipped beam/full beam i loose all my dash instuments (speedo,mfa fuel gauge etc) and lights,when i switch lights off all is resumed clock on mfa resets!any help much appreciated

    all my lights on my a regf go out,think its a wring prob near switch

    Sounds like you need to clean all your earth points within the electrical system. Start with the ones under the Bonnet and the move to the ones in the cab.


    Also Fuseboxes on the Cabrios have a tendancy to get wet where they are positioned due to the window seals leaking. Take out and check every fuse and relay to make sure the connections havn't corroded. a few of my problems were solved by just doing that.
