Annoying Noise

Hi everyone

Just a quick question A4 2.0TDI 170bhp Avant 2007, on inital startup, has a sound that I can only describe as a Fan belt slipping!! Really noisy at first then gradually goes quieter but is still audiable.. Have lifted the bonnet and it seems to be the timing belt located at front of the engine.

I know that the belt will require changing in about 6months as the car is 4 years old, but it has only done 32K. It has been going on for the past 3 months, getting no worse, just a bit concerned Audi came out in Nov as it is under an extened warrenty for a warning light, he heard the noise and sprayed some sort of product onto the belt and the noise dissappeared for a couple of weeks then It came back

Any more knowledgeable members with comments would be greatly received

Aux belt ?

mine did the same especially on cold damp mornings .

Just had mine changed as a part of my cam belt and water pump service , now its gone .
