Parking brake warning

Hello
Can anyone help with the problem on the park brake on my 3C Passat.
I recently had a tow bar and dedicated electrics fitted, soon after the park brake started to show faults. It still works fine, but puts up the amber warning most of the time. I have changed the switch, and done a battery reset with no effect.
The place thart fitted the bar and electrics seem to think it is unrelated to the towbar, to be expected really.
I have just got a chap at work to scan my car with VCDS, the results seem to be rather confusing to me. There are a number of faults that I wasn't expecting to see. Have the garage cocked up the coding on the car?
Or is it really unrelated?

Are you sure Kenny. It loks to me like the modules are coded but none of them can communicate with the trailer module....faulty module or wiring ?

If it was me I would clear the faults and rescan as these could be due to someone turning ignition on before they finished checking the new wiring.

Is the brake faukt not just a failed bulb or bad connection to the autohold lamp. (assuming it has autohold).

byte 04 is coded no trailer and sorry the parking brake modul is coded correctly no communication could mean the units are not connecting through the gateway since the electronic control unit is not coded for a trailer

The faults have been cleared and re read

The car does not have auto hold, but it appears to be coded for it.
Is this what is upsetting the parking ECU?
The lack of comms to the trailer ECU is a worry. Kenny seems to be correct about the central elect not being coded for trailer, the park assist I can't tell as Martin has no calculator for that unit

the coding for Address 53: Parking Brake Labels should be 0000011,change it,activate bit2 in byte 04 in the central electronics and take it from there,i think that is why you have the fault with the indicators logged in the control unit
