    Hi

    I have an A4 Avant 2.5d quattro, W reg (2000)

When I open the door, I'm not getting any alarm to indicate the lights are still on. I used to.

OK, stupid question.....I can't even find the Fuses. Where are they?

    Thanks!

it could be a few things.
broken microswitch in the door lock of a broken wire in the loom between the door and body.
Try giving the loom a wiggle to see if the buzzer comes back on.

    Thanks Kite

I just poked & wiggled the loom as hard as I could. Nothing!

The Internal Light comes on no problem btw. Would that be on the same switch??

As I came back in, I just noticed I'd left the lights on!!! it's about -16 out there too.

Would that involve an Audi dealer?

The local garage, where I get it serviced have no idea. I'm stuck in that gap where the car (much as I love it) is of a value that whenever a job comes up, it's decision time.....IE, do I cut my losses & buy a newer one??

    What could a scan cost?

Have a look in the vagcom section for a member in your area.
most Indie garages charge £30 for a scan and print out.
