    Hello All
Bit of a strange one - whilst driving the interior lights (front & rear) begin to flash intermittently.
Also when locking the car - after about 30 seconds the hazard lights flash as if there is motion inside the car.
After browsing the boards I have checked the alarm sounder unit in the boot - after dismantling found that the battery had leaked in the unit and melted the circuit board. The unit is now removed but the problem is still there ?

    Any suggestions most welcome !!!

Interesting - changed that about 18 months ago but as from last night the drivers doesn't unlock using the remote key or lock - you need to open the passenger door and lean across......may be worth getting new pump as the replaced one was a reconditioned unit that may be starting to go

I take it you meant the small box near to the c/l pump that controls the alarms etc??Found this and took apart using details from another post. The units NiCd batteries had leaked all over the pcb. Parted with way too much cash (£90) from Audi Dealer and fitted it. Problem improved slightly but still was happening - only now with alarm siren operating !Did some more diagnostic work and found rear passenger door switch is causing the problem. If I hold this in with the rear door open the alarm sets itself OK. Price is £5.95 & VAT so hopefully will sort the problem.Did you notice that there are two wires (one brown, one double green wire) left loose near to the central locking pump and alarm unit ?Can't see where these belong !!!!
