    hi hoping someone can help a friend has a b6 2005 a4 estate 1.9tdi & last week it went in limp mode & the brake lights were on constantly when the ignition was switched on fitted new switch but didnt cure it.when i checked it i found a 15amp fuse in the ecu compartment blown so replaced with new fuse & all was working well again until today when its blown the same fuse but each time new one is fitted as soon as ignition is switched on the fuse blows instantly.does anyone know what this fuse supplies then i can investigate futher

    Can you give us some details of the fuse, location & position, any number(s), maybe a picture with it highlighted?

    hi burkey inside the ecu compartment there is a maxi fuse 60amp this is for the glow plugs, then there is a 15amp in a red holder & a 15 amp in a blue holder this blue one being the culprit.I have been to it today & it has stopped blowing the fuse but for how long who knows.

    Im going to need your engine code, three letters should be in the manual/service book.

    Also is it an 8E5 or a 8ED avant.
