Right I've got soggy footwell disease as I live in a rather windy part of the world it has decided to rear it's ugly head.

As soon as I got the car I sorted the plenum drains out and had a look at the cabin filter, but it was difficult to remove and I'm lazy so I didnt persever..... oh how silly of me...

    anyway... my question is:

With the cabin filter removed, should I be able to see a seal in the little gap under the filter? Because...... I cant Maybe I have no seal....? (that'll be the problem then...)

Do I need to buy a new one or can I just go silicon crazy and not remove the filter housing?

I think I'll need to remove the scuttle pannel to get at the nuts for the filter housing as they were hand shreddlingly difficult to remove but I dont want to do this and find out that because I've got no seal or it is very very damaged that I'll need to put it all back together and order a new part.

    Cheers
    JAmes.

Hmm... it could be. I'll try to dry the car out and make sure all the seals are on OK around the door. I have noticed some water sitting on the sill pannel but never any over the rubber and into the cabin. Perhaps I should do some invstigating with a hose pipe....

Persevere and get the pollen filter housing out, my seal was completely knackered beneath the tray. I used a thich gutter sealant mastic. No problems since...touching wood!!!...Also removed the plenum drain rubbers.

Did you use a seal and mastic or just mastic?

    Thanks
