recently had a starting problem on my t25 fitted with 1.9 1z engine . I changed the stop solenoid ( power supply good ) and proved the fuel supply and return were sound . Still not starting , i then ventured into the fuel pump and removed the cover of the actuator and noticed the actuator arm was jerking about (with the ign switched on ) . I then found a bad earth quite by accident and when this was corrected the engine started no problem . Hey presto i thought . 2 days later i set off and had just got round the corner and the engine reverted to a very slow idle . I have cleaned the ecu terminals within and the connector plug is clean yet the ecu doesn't seem to be giving the actuator a signal to put fuel on ( i have tried the actuator with a 12v transformer and it does move proportionally to the voltage ) . The engine will start on easy start but will only run on tick over . Could someone inform me what faults would keep the fuel signal off .
Many thanks . Bryan.
