Well, I've now moved away from VAG (have a old mans car now a volvo ) and have a genuine Ross Tech VCDS hex-can for sale if anyone's interested. It's up for £350 having looked on various sites what it may be worth. I really have no idea other than that info, happy to take an offer. It's like new, never had the confidence to use it fully.

I have just purchased for wifey a new Polo Series 6 1.0 TSI 95 SE 5dr DSG. I myself also have a 2017 Q5 2.0 TFSI Sline. I am mildly interested in purchasing VCDS, so I rang https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCHU.html for more information on the HEX-V2® USB and they advised me that they have a bundle (for 3 cars) costing £225. After further discussions, they advised me that the best value for money was the 10 VIN version (see product comparison tab) because the upgrade route to the full version is cheaper from that version than from the 3 VIN version.
2017 Audi Q5 Quattro S line Navarro Blue 2.0 litre TFSI, HBA, Powered Mirrors, QVIA AR790 (2 Channel Dash Cameras), Front & Rear parking cameras with smart interface.

Help me out guys, I've no idea on price other than there's one exactly the same up for that price. I don't mind what it's worth, just don't need it and happy to sell on at the going rate.

Some background: Original OE suggested retail price from Ross-Tech was $349 USD which today is 267£. One also should consider that if the new user wants support and help from Ross-Tech, that user has to register the tool with Ross-Tech and transfer the ownership to their name. That costs $99USD.

So, I should think a very fair price might be around 200£ - but I also work for Ross-Tech and well, I should only suggest prices.

HEX+CAN covers all VAG from 1990 through 2015. Using OBDII mode, it will cover any car that is OBDII compliant after 2008 when all had to use CAN for diagnostics.
