Memoscan VW AUDI Diagnostic Fault Code CAN Reader VAG OBD2 U281

I have a mk5 Golf 2.0 TDI 2004, the engine light has appeared on the dashboard and check emissions on display. The car drives ok.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the above fault can reader.
    Does this reset the light?
