    hi guys.

when i was my motor, it looks well nice n shiny, except on close up. there are some unusual marks, i thought it maybe tar, so i tried tar remover but not to any joy.

i have uploaded some pics of it, and was hoping one of you can recommend something to get rid of it.

    thanks.

    finally i think that works

they are small stone chips, I usally noice it happen where a reapint or blowin has been done. I usually put it down to the paint not being as hard as the orginal factory paint. also when a blow in is done the paint is clear over base which means the damaged section is sprayed with the colour then a larger area is sanded lighlty to allow the lacqured to be sprayed over a larger area allowing the paint to blend in.

Mines like it on the front and I suspect its had a little work done at some point.

I did have a MK1 Cabriolet which did the same on the rear arches which also had the same effect and definalty had a bit of a respary,

    fine stone chips.......

mine does this all the time after a polish...

I am taking a wild guess.... what you have done and maybe a resolve.......!!!!

Whenever i use a polish like Auto glym or any polish which is WHITE'ish, the polish seems to sticks to the fine stone chips and gives thats effect..

i have a denim blue A4 and mine does the same on the front end every time...

To resolve it.. (or to make it look nice again) i purchased some Turtle Wax colour coded polish... (blue ) used this and it covers up all the little marks with little effort...

all thats happening is that the white bits of polish is sticking which makes it looks worse than it is...

Try getting some black polish of some sort and give it a try.. (turtle wax worked a treat on mine.. see below link)

    it worked for me..

Yeah, use tinted polish or t-cut, it'll hide a multitude of sins!
