    Hi,
I apologize if I’m duplicating this question but, I did lots of search on forum but I’m still confused:

I owe a 2005 2.0 TDI Audi A4 Avant. My display shows only miles remaining and I would like to enable full DIS features.

My car does have a cruise control. But my car doesn’t have MFSW so I was wondering if by only adding a wiper stalk I would be able to enable the DIS?
Can you please advice which is easy way to tell if I need only wiper stalk or I need to purchase other parts too?

Many thanks for taking your time to answer to this post.

Thank you Issac, this is great news

Could you please advice: If I decide to retrofit the MFSW too, what is the steering column control unit part number. Based on my search I found this part number is: 8E0 953 549 R or Q. Is this the right part number for MFSW control unit?

Also, if I upgrade to MFSW, would I be able to keep my existing airbag (from my standard B7 steering wheel)?

    Many thanks.

Yes that is the correct part number for steering colomn control unit and you can keep your current airbag if you get the correct steering wheel.

add the switch and enable diss via address 17 adaption channel 19 (see vcds help balloon to configure) then go to address 16 and encode steering control unit for dis also why your in it encode for mfsw, then go to radio and encode for mfsw.
remove the dash insert and disconnect the blue multi plug, locate pin 1 and remove the wire brown/black
now fit a new wire in pin 1 and earth the wire on the bulkhead behind the dash insert you will see a 10mm nut (use this as your earth point)
    that's it

Thank you all for your replies.

I was wondering: Is there a part number for MFSW on which the standard steering wheel bairbag device fits?

Also, I'm reading some threads that airbag loom for mfsw is required - sharing more details on this are highly welcome.

    Thank you!
