  1. Remapping the 140 TDI CR

    Hi Folks,

I've just decided to return to the VW fold after many years, and put a deposit down on a 2008 Jetta 140 TDI CR Sport DSG with only 15k miles on it. I'm keen to get a remap, and wondered if anyone is doing them for the CR engines? I work in Edinburgh so if I can get it done somewhere nearby, that would be all the better.

I've had a Beemer for a couple of years, and emaps were always talked of highly in the forums. I see they have someone in Scotland now. Any experience? I have noticed there is a Revo dealer up here too -*http://www.autohausedinburgh.co.uk/ . Has anyone got any experience of them?

I've heard a few people say Revo remaps are a bit aggressive at the bottom end. Anyone got one?

The last diesel I had was a 1.9 TDI Mk3 Golf, so I'm impressed with the CR engine's improvement in refinement.

    Cheers!

    Mike.

Sounds a nice car. I also used to run beemers (330) and I'm a bairn!

Worth a call to Jim Curley at Star Performance in Dysart (just past Kirkcaldy) for advice. I don't let anyone else touch my car that's how high i rate them.

HI , I also use Jim for my Audi tuning ,suspension and also use the guys at Autohaus for servicing work .

They are excellent mechanics ,but would point you in the direction of the Superchip dealer in Galashiels ,just do Superchip dealer search for address.

I am having my 2.0TDI 170 A3 Quattro sportback chipped there very soon.

They have a huge experience of the VW variants , so heres hoping my 170 will be even more enjoyable.

    Hope this helps

    Rob
