Possibly. It depends on your current dash, if its the low line version then no you cant do it without replacing the instrument panel (&adding the new switch)

If you have the highline dash then you can add the appropriate switch and program it with VAGCOM. Prices vary, you MIGHT need a new steering ECU to support trip computer (£110) or you might just need the new switch (£50 ish) and then labour charge if you cannot fit them yourself. Its easy to do though.

Post a pic of your instrument panel if you dont know the difference between the two..........

If you'd taken it in daylight or with the ignition on or a door open (so that whatever is between your speedo and rev counter is visible then we might be able to tell!

Do you get radio information displayed there? do you get a large picture of the car that can show which door is open?

    Is it like this one

Indeed it does! Sadly that's the low-line dash you have fitted. You dont get the radio station information displayed in the centre do you? You need the dash like the one in the link I posted above.

You can still have the trip computer, but it means you need a new set of clocks first. £££'s but possible to do. You need to replace the entire assembly - the centre part with the red display cant be changed seperately I'm afraid.
