    Hi I have above fault, the error light is on dash and brake button remains illuminated solid. Anyone know how I can fix this? Please.

    Temp, undo the battery for 30 minutes, go to VW and buy a new switch, and carry a 10mm spanner at all times.

    is there a permanent fix for this? I rang vw the button is only 23 quid but will it need to be reset with a scan tool?

    It's a cheap possible fix, it's not always the switch that goes wrong, but in a lot of tother cases is is, so it's £23 gamble, or £85 finding out for def.
