Audi Headlight Beam Adjustment motors

Hi

I have an A6 that has a on one side a motor in the headlight, which allows me to vary the beam level from within the cockpit. The others side (drivers side) does not, it is a newer headlight, I can tell because the lens on it is very clear in comparison to the other side.

I am thinking that it has been replaced due to whatever reasons most probably an accident repair but I need obviously to fix the issue with only one side being able to adjust the beam level - its not great...

So now onto my question, can I just jet a motor and install it into the headlight or is it a case of having to buy a complete new headlight unit with a motorised levelling system?

Not sure if you can modify the existing headlight but I would of thought its not worth the hassle,get the right one from a breakers then sell the other one.

Thanks for the reply - the breakers I tried was selling the servo motor for the adjustment sepratley... and he was not to keen to help me identify if I just needed the motor or the headlight as well as the motor....(will not be seeing him again!)

I will see if Audi are more helpfull.

If your buying a new one go to europarts or gsf somewhere that stocks Valeo headlights, Audi is mega bucks
