sound like you climate control unit, the display gives up usualy due to dry joints in the curcuit board , mine did this and i replaced it with one off fleabay.
you must make sure the all the numbers on the new unit match the ones on your old one or it wont switch the aircon on, even though everything else seems to work ..( i found this out by buying the wrong one )
the aircon compressor will shut down if the gas pressure is too low, its to protect the compressor etc. has it been gassed up this year?
the fan running slow could be the control unit, or the bushes in the fan motor.

My blower is dieing on me as well.
Clicking at slow speed or dead.

Like stevie said, i'd check the bushes out on the motor. I read you can buy new ones on ebay. I'm going to try that first. cheaper option.

The fan will work regardless of AC. I've had no AC pump for about 6months and before this week my blowers was working fine.

I stripped my blower down this afternoon and checked the bushes out.
Mine are almost warn out but my motor is self where the bushes make contact, has really bad scoring. So need to replace that as well i think.

here is a couple of pics.
