Seeing as your car has multi function steering wheel then you would only need the cruise stalk and steering cowl with the extra cut out. Very easy to install, would take approx 1 hour.
And no i wouldn't charge if you came to me. Im about 30 mins from bristol.

Thanks for the offer, how much would you charge for the whole supply and fit? I have to go up to the midlands once a month so could drop in on the way...... the recode people have mentioned, will my car need it?

I don't run a business so i wouldn't supply parts and dont charge. I also don't supply a warrenty. i do it to help people out and its a bit of a hobby so if you turned up at my door step with a bag of parts and a can of beer i would be more than happy to fit.

The new stalk will be ignored by the car if its not re-coded. Fairly simple as long as you know what you are doing and have the right tools (software).
Your basically telling the car its now got cruise.

The software is just the communication program, so you can talk to the vehicle electrical system. Most non specialists use VAGCOM.

Cheers lateknight for the advice and parts list. Sounds like it could be a fairly cheap retrofit then!

Ukdan... what beer do you drink matey?!! I may take you up on your offer! Are there any potential issues removing the steering wheel / airbag? Is there any chance it could deploy? Will the steering wheel go back on as it came off - alignment wise? How confident are you at fitting? Sounds like you know what you're doing as you've done it on your own car already, got all the kit and can use the vagcom software!

Would be nice to have it fitted!
