    don't know mate same as you fed up with it!!
    I think there is a thread about remapping try that see what that has to say and keep me informed buddy

    In the end I bought one from my local VW dealer, it was a stock item and cost me £45 inc vat, however costs may vary between models. I had to contact my local GSF Branch as I could`nt find it listed on there website either. (The item was in stock, in fact he said they had 29!!!!)

    NOTE: OEM parts are going to be cheaper but may not save you ££££ in the long run, I opted for a Original one as the price differecnce was around £10 ish.

    Guys just quickly - I do know with PD/TDI models esp early 2001 B5.5 "Oil sensor Workshop" is a ECU fault - so correct about the re-map post. However my reply and posts on here are based on Petrol model B5 1997-onwards models. Hope that helps.

    Thankyou for that I will pop off to my local vw garage on tuesday and try that,its worth a try as it seems to of cured yours,nothing worse then a car beeping at you at 05.30 in the mornin.

    Cheers MarkBudd I have an early 2001 2.0s petrol model,so I will change the sensor as it is more and more intrmittent.

    hi all i think mine must be ecu as i have done every think to it on the oil side.
    can i use kwp2000 to remap it.

    Hi all this might help I had the oil sensor warning on my 02 pd130 and I used the cancel service code on my car and it went happy days 😊 hope it helps
