hi i have a golf mk5 tdi - the heater blower does not work on any speed. i have changed the fascia contol unit, the resistor pack by the blower motor and still nothing. i have been told it could possibly be the climatronic control module - but i don`t know what or where it is located. many thanks

It may be a faulty blower. Cliamtronic is the full digital system (variable speed blower digital panel), I presume you have the basic Climatic (4 speed blower) system so you have already changed the control unit. Have you checked fuse 40 on the dash side panel fuse board?

In that case I would directly power the blower motor and see if it runs.

    hi all
mk5 heater blower now sorted. problem was no fan speed at all:
    1) climatronic control panel changed - no change
    2) blower resistor pack changed - no change
    3) blower motor tested with direct battery feed and earth - working fine
    4) all wires in haynes manual led to item 3 onboard supply control unit J519 (located under drivers side lower dash panel)
    5) swapped this and everything was sorted - cost £40 from breakers ( main dealer price £252)
    hope this is of use
    Rog

That doesn’t add up if you look at the wiring diagram.

I will assume you have the manually regulated system (four individual blower speeds) made by Valeo (and right hand drive) so you need fan 1K2 819 015 C which is £126.85 inc. VAT from VW or £103.20 from GSF, their part number 932VG0400.
