Fitted dis and cruise but having problems with coding etc

Ok so i fitted dis and cruise today.
Cruise working ok but cannot get dis to work.
I got all parts from e-bay.
New steering control module part number is - 8E0 953 549 T which replaces original unit- 8E0 953 549 S (maybe this is my problem?)

anyway here is a scan log done before the retrofit-

Ok so ive figured out that 8E0 953 549 T is the steering control module for an RS4 according to etka.
Im assuming the sccm is saying 'where is the RS4 steering wheel'?
I only have the standard 3 spoke steering wheel.
Can it be coded out and why does dis not work?

I think you might struggle with the RS4 SCSM as the three spoke flat bottom RS4 wheel features different buttons to the rest of the A4 range. It has the trip computer buttons on the steering wheel, as well as the sport button. None of these feature on lower model A4's.

If address #16 wont accept the correct coding for your car (use long coding helper or look it up on the ross tech wiki) then you need a non-RS4 SCSM.

Thanks, didn't know the RS4 had the trip computer functions on the steering wheel.
That explains a lot.
Probably why the dis buttons on the wiper stalk don't work.
Oh well i'll have to keep a look out for the correct scsm.
