If you're looking used, I think if you find leather you'll always find heated seats too...

All B6 Highline models have heated leather front seats as standard, so maybe look for one of these. However, try these seats for comfort over a test drive first. I have them in my B6 and really don't like them at all. My wife has a Passat Sport with much nicer sport seats, which are cloth, and heated, which was an option without leather.

Agree, seats are a very personal choice. My wife has a bad back and doesn't get on with sports seats with sloping bases. We usually go for cars with full electric seat adjustment but found the Highlines seats to be perfect. The seats were the main reason for us buying the car and the heaters are excellent.
Our previous car we had for 8 weeks as my wife couldn't get comfortable even though the seats had 14 way adjustment.

    Cheers

I had my first B6 Sport from new, did 146k in it, and loved the cloth sport seats. Often drive 200 miles or so to work in the morning and found them to be perfect for me. Did just over 700 miles in it one day with complete comfort.
My Highline seats just don't seem to suit me, and as you say they are very much a personal thing. Just a shame for me the sport seats only come in the CC now. I'm also not too keen on the leather this time of year as they don't breathe in hot weather, and when you spend several hours a day sat in them I get a sweaty feeling on my back and ****. However, the heating in the seats over colder months is rather nice.
Ideally I'd like climate seats like these http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new/pass...search=climate seats

I had a top of the range 3.0V6 Mondeo with Climate seats. 10 position cooling and heating with fans blowing chilled air through the perforated leather.
I would have them in the Passat if I could.

    Cheers
