    Hi

    I have got a MK3 Golf Driver 1995 M reg 1.8 engine code ADZ.

The problem is, my gear changes is very smooth when i drive around local and not much of a problem.

But when i drive long distance or use the car for long time and changing grear very offten, i have the feeling that gear changes is bit dry and making squicky noice and on fifth gear its sometime slight crunches.

I have checked the grear box oil and toped it up, still happing.

Is anyone has experience the same problem or have heard anyone mentioning

Please do tel me when could be causing it and anything i can do it stop this happing.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Vasi

Spray some spray grease on the linkages, especially the ones mounted on the steering rack.
