    Hi,

I know it's not possible, for the moment atleast, to add speed cameras/POIs (which is already a bit of a let down...)

But is it possible to get the speed limit of the current road you're driving on displayed on the navigation screen?

Surely Audi can give you SOME help towards keeping your driving license...

    Cheers,

    I sincerely doubt it.

Road speed limits could change and the in-car database could be out of date, then Audi would need all sorts of liability statements. This would only work properly if the car hooked-up 'over the air' to frequent (as needed) updates but, even then, there'd be all sorts of liability issues.

I think it is simply not worth the hassle for Audi.

Then, there is the fact that the MMI is actually utter pants... in terms of both features, correctness and update frequency.

Don't see why it would be a liability issue when even the cheapest GPS systems out there has these basic functions. Audi really lets down when it comes to the GPS.

Which is why I ordered my car without it, I was not going paying R 20,000+ for it, unfortunately at the time I did not know that there was MMI High (Nav) and MMI Low (no nav).

I'm fixing that shortcoming now though.

Well liability is not an issue - VW have it. Perhaps "quality" in assuring that isn't out of date - than again complete roads can change too.
