A8L 2004 - Steering Column Shutdown - Help

Yesterday the electrics on the steeting column shut down on my 2004 A8L, this was coupled with numerous warning messages on the dash from ABS failure through to Parking brake failure.

None of the control functions on the steering column have any effect, ie indicators, cruise, wipers, volume etc etc. There is also no illumination on the steeting wheel. A VAG-COM scan reveals no communication from controller 16 (Steering wheel) it is as if power has failed to the steering controller. I have failed to find a fuse supplying this to check if this is the case, anyone any ideas on problem? or where the supply is coming from to be able to check a fuse?

Solved, it turns out there is a fuse in the driver side dash panel for Steering Column electrics, it is a small size 10a which somehow in the dark last night I missed. Anyway, replaced and steering electrics restored, now to clear all those DTCs it generated.
