Didnt know really where to put this but here will do Feel free to move Admins

Anyways, Im going to Scotland in August and taking the A6.

The problem that I have is will I get stopped for having no insurance and tax because my car is registered in NI? (DVLNI)

The A6 still has its English registration which I kept when registering the car in my name in Northern Ireland. So will this throw up warnings on the Mainland's system if I go through ANPR's or pass police vehicles because the car is now under the control of DVLNI?

According to DVLNI, themselves and DVA arent joined and its a completly different system.

Thanks for your replies in advance

    Chris

It should show as "not registered" on an ANPR if the two systems aren't linked, so you might get pulled over. If you put a NI sticker in the window, then the police should realise that's the reason.

I'd recommend bringing your insurance, mot and tax details with you, then you'll have no problems if you do get stopped (which I expect is highly unlikely).
