Can anyone please tell me if the front and rear doors on the Golf CL 5-door Hatch are the same as on the CL Estate?

I need to replace the drivers side doors (F & R) on my M plate CL Hatch, and have found a CL Estate in the local scrappies which seems to have two good doors. They look the same, but experience tells me that there could be minor differences, and they won't become apparent until I've bought them.

Not wishing to attempt a customer return to a rottweiller-accompanied 20 stone, unwashed nightmare, some advice would be appreciated.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Thanks.

In my experience, if you explain to him that they're for a hatch, but you think they'll fit, and ask if you can return them if they don't, most scrappy owners will allow you to.

Where's the scrappy in Reading? I'm new in Reading.

    Thanx NickPicks.

There are several but the two I have experience of are in Arborfield and Aldermaston.

I've had a quick look at a parts manual, and the part numbers for a left rear door are:
    1H4 833 055 - golf
    1H9 833 055 - golf estate

Whther that means they won't fit, I don't know. It's only 1 digit difference, but it could be a big difference.
