Refurbishing s line alloys 2004
Would I be asking too much to sort my wheels in a day? ie remove leave car on axle stands for the duration and put back on carefully at the end of the day.
I have spray facilities, compressor, gun and both at my joinery workshop. Where car would be.
Remove, clean, rub down, fill, rub down, prime, colour and clear coat.
Leaving tyres on.
Have an Avon auto colours near me so could buy paints there. Furthermore, which paints would I buy?
Cheers all.
Thinking smoked chrome may be 😬

Your sounding like a have a go amateur which will be a waste of time and end up with poor results. Just pay a local company to do it proffesionally. Trying to refurb wheels with the tyres on is like trying to bang your other half with your jeans on and your hands tied behind your back, it can be done but will be messy and you won't get the finish your after. C'mon don't be tight open your wallet and get them done right.

Brilliant!
I can testify, did a set of R32 wheels, one at a time in my garage while I had a steelie on.
Looked good enough to get a few quid more for the golf when it sold, never going to be perfect or last a decade though.

Cheers. Car is 13 years old. Just don’t won’t to spend loads on it and I enjoy tinkering. Spoke with powder costing firm today. £300 for all four and will need the wheels for 4-5 day.
