Rear Tie Rods/Roll bar links/Guide Links - whats the proper terminology!
Hi All
I have a 1999 A4 B5 1.8 and have recently been spending a bit of cash on it to get some longer term issues fixed. Its always sounded like a bag of spanners when going over bumps and there was about a 30 degree turn on the steering wheel before it actually changed direction! Anyway, I have replaced all suspension links on the front and also the track rod ends - the car now drives like a new car - almost. There is still a bit of a rattle from the rear of the car when I drive over cobbles so I figured it would be the rear wishbone bushes. A quick look under the car and I can see they are goosed so I have bought a couple to fit. However I also figured it could equally be the rear roll bar links so thought it would be worth replacing them at the same time? Problem is there seems to be so many names for these that I don't know what I am searching for - and I cant find any for sale anywhere - but that might be because I am using the wrong terminology. Can anyone help? Or can anyone help with where I could buy a couple from?
Many thanks - much appreciated!
Sean

Hmm from this diagram it doesn't look like it - that would explain a hell of a lot! I must admit I posted this without being under the car since I did the disks and calipers and I couldn't remember there being any but I wasn't specifically looking for them either. Many thanks for your help - it certainly narrows down the rattling to the bushes (no.11 in your diagram).
Cheers
