Strange window operation

Hi all, i've had a look through some posts on this, and a few people seem to have had this problem,

Basically the drivers window will operate up and down fine but keeps closing itself when i try to open it.

Also the passenger window will only open from the passenger door switch but from the drivers switches it will open and close.

Am i right in saying its likely to be the window module? if this sounds likely where is it located in the car and does anyone know a rough cost to replace
