These wheels came amny years ago on a Corrado i had but were in a right state with peeling lacquer etc so were consigned to the back of the shed and replaced with the wheels from my old Scirocco.
Now I always assumed that they were BBS RX2 split rims from a Polo 6N GTI , however,I recently dug them out and decided to refurb them for a Scirocco MK2 that I am restoring , on doing a bit of research on how to split the wheels I realised that nowhere on the wheels are there any BBS makers marks and also unlike Polo wheels they are actually 7x 15 .
Also the bolts holding the wheels together are not they are merely there for show and the wheel is actually a one piece rim , they are well made and also very heavy for a 15" rim.
Anybody got a clue where they are from originally ?
