Fuel level display
Hi everyone
I was just wondering if anyone with the C7 have had the same experience as this
On two time over the past 2-3 weeks when I have started the car the fuel level display is blank and also the fuel icon at the top that show the mileage left is Blake .....
Also a message comes up to say something about a fuel tank malfunction and to take to the dealer .
I had my local Audi garage check it out on the Vagcom and it came up with an intermittent fault with the fuel level sensor ....
.......on both times after a time the information comes back on the display
I know that the part is not cheep and was interested to see if anyone else had , had a similar problem

Re: Fuel level display
Hi SLP V6,
Did you manage to resolve this?
I have the exact same issue on my 2014 C7 which I bought a few weeks ago. Initially the problem I had was worse as the gauge was showing a different level every time I started the car untill finally it stayed on zero for about a week (even after I filled the tank) . After talking to a local friendly garage, who contacted Audi technical, they suggested a hard reset of the instrument cluster. I did this last week and now the gauge reads, I think, the correct level. But today the tank malfunction error has started popping up. As soon as the car moves it clears and the gauge works again.

Re: Fuel level display
Mine is still under warranty so it went back to the trader for a week. Typically, for a week before, the gauge worked fine and I had no error messages at all. Whilst in the traders care everything was okay as well so no work was carried out.
Since getting the car back I've had one error message saying there is a tank error but it cleared once the car started moving.
Fingers crossed it's sorted itself out.
I've started to think more and more that this is because my car was sat on the forecourt for several months with next to no fuel in the tank, and the fuel sender's just needed several cycles through full to low tanks of fuel to jump start them back life.
