VCDS long coding simulator?
I have seen a VCDS long coding simulator somewhere on the 'net before, but I don't seem to have the link any more http://www.briskoda.net/forums/publi...9-headbang.gif
What this simulator allowed you to do was to input the long coding from various controllers, change the coding and it then showed you what Bit's each change had enabled.
Has anyone else come across anything similar?
FWIW I am looking into changing a couple of codes on our cars (TT and Superb) and it would be easier if I can find this simulator again so I can experiment without the car being connected.
(I have already tried it the 'long way' with no results, but I am very reluctant to change a Bit when there is either no description of it or is even not present - so it would require changing the Binary code itself)
Re: VCDS long coding simulator?
There are passat simulaters are on my site do you mean these? No simulater works for all cars/controllers
Re: VCDS long coding simulator?
I don't think it was Martin no, the one I saw I am pretty sure looked just like the long code in VCDS and was fully interactive (I notice that your 09 controller in not interactive)
Re: VCDS long coding simulator?
There is a Long Code simulator in the Program Directory on your Hard drive - its called LCode
On my Windows 7 system its under C -> Ross Tech -> VCDS -> LCode and it allows you to paste in coding and open lbl files without being connected to the car

Chris you are a star that was exactly what I was looking for :beerchug:
(could of sworn it was on the 'net I saw it, maybe that was just an 'how to')

It was in one of your previous threads where Jon had posted info on it - A3 VCDS scan info required please
