Fault code
05522.....altitude/boost*pressure*sensor*implausable*correlation*and* intermittent*
Light came on again 4 days ago but only the 1 time. Took it to the garage today and the mechanic said it's nothing to worry about, he test drove it and said everything appears fine.
What'd reckon guys?

Re: Fault code
Light back on again this morning and nothing since. Is it normal for this fault to only give one warning then nothing further or is this a sign that tells me not to worry for the time being and if it gets worse it'll tell me? CONFUSED!

- Limp Mode active
Possible Causes
- Wiring from/to Boost Pressure Sensor (G31) faulty
- Ground Spots corroded
- Boost Pressure Sensor (G31) faulty
Possible Solutions
- Check Wiring from/to Boost Pressure Sensor (G31)
- Check Ground Spots for Corrosion
- Check Boost Pressure Sensor (G31)
Special Notes
- When found in 2.0l TDI-PPD (BMN), check TSB/TPL's first.
- Possible Causes: Software Issue, High Resistance in Engine Wiring Harness, Ground Spots corroded
- Possible Solutions: Check/Update Engine Control Module Software, Check Wiring from/to Boost Pressure Sensor (G31), Check Ground Spots for Corrosion

Re: Fault code
Crasher- any idea of the cost of a new sensor? Lights coming on more frequent now and I'm guessing the most expensive scenario would be to replace the sensor, cheers.

Re: Fault code
The sensor is about £45 and on the boost pipe in the engine bay just before the pipe turns into the flap motor, a bit awkward to get at.

Re: Fault code
Pulling my freeking hair out with local garages! Asked the latest one to replace the boost sensor for me and he said it's probably a leak in the turbo system! And they're supposed to be vw experts.
Ended up ringing VW Preston up and they've told me it's a common fault and either the wireing loom needs replaceing or a new sensor fitted, more than likely the wiring loom though and will be cost of part + 2 hrs labour (£60 per hr)
hopefully get sorted now :-(

Re: Fault code
Job done, new wiring loom fitted. Best part of £190 :-@
hope that's the end of it!
